Overview

DC, Democratic center (Demokratski centar) - White flag with the party emblem in the middle - letters DC of red and blue with chequy design and below black inscribed the full name of the party. The party is formed by fractioning of reformistic and centristic members of HDZ after the failure on 2000 election and after the death of president Tudjman.

Established: Zagreb, 2 April 2000. Members: 2001 (8.500) 2002 (15.000) 2003 (15.000) 2004 (14.000). Members in Croatian Parliament: 2000 - 4 (2,65%), 2002 - 3 (1,99%), 2003 - 3 (1,99%), 2004 - 1 (0,66%). Observer in EPP. Currently supporting the government of Ivo Sanader (HDZ) participating in the government with Vesna Škare-Ožbolt, minister of justice.
The flag is adopted in 2002 and is determined in the Statutes (Statut Demokratskog centra, 20 December 2003 <www.demkoratski-centar.hr>) and it is (my description):   White flag with the party emblem in the middle - letters DC of red and blue with chequy design and below black inscribed the full name of the party. The flag is used, among other palces, on the party headquarters situated in the main quare in Zagreb, it is observed on the party conventions and so on.
